In all fareness, this journey began in April of 2009. Somehow I ended up on an island in the Pacific Rim for two months - two months that changed the course of my life. While braving the heat, lizards, and 5 AM wake-up calls of island life, I began to question the need, purpose, and calling to "going international". Sure, I have been taught from the earliest days of sunday school that some people are called to go. And of course the american leaders on the island would tell me "going international" was a great and needed thing. After all, they had already given their lives for this purpose. However, I wanted to see it in the Word for myself. I began asking Dad to show me if he cared about the nations and if he did care about the nations, to make me care about the nations. The result? He is faithful to the pryers of his people and He does care deeply about the nations.
Going east has been a year in the making. I can joyfully say that I rest in the sovereign grace of my Savior. He has guided every step of this journey. It is out of obedience to the Word as well as a passion for his name and renown in corners of the globe that I am leaving my life here in America and going east. Ultimately I rejoice and rest in knowing it is for his glory alone that we take the Good News to every nation, tribe, and people.

Girl, I can wholeheartedly agree with you! My journey to this point began back in April 2009 as well. Lifting you up constantly- I know that Dad will use you for wonderful things, and He will reveal more of Himself to you in the next 6 months! How awesome is it to know that you're going to come back a changed woman?! I can't wait to hear how everything goes :)
